I didn't realize it was the deer opener. I wonder if it's a bad idea. :notsure:

I could do a day trip either Sunday the 7th or Sunday the 14th.

Would a Sunday day trip work for anyone?

Hmmm. I'm leaning towards just picking a Sunday and doing it. I usually like Saturday trips, but my next 2 Saturdays are booked.

Sooo... November 14 day trip? It sounds like this is the best option right now to get in before gun season.

9am at the park and ride:

I'm going to skip the sandy area off Sleeter road. I'd like to head right to the section near Bro Rock/Instagram hill. There's a spot in that section that looks very interesting, but we always drive right past it.

We can stop at the gas station/general store in Crooked Lake along the way if needed.

If we get to the area by the rock garden early enough, I'd like to climb that again. I'll gladly attempt to spot and help anyone else who's interested as well. I don't recommend anyone without armor attempt it, though.

    Awesome, I'm in!

I'll have to look at the rock garden again, thinking about giving it a go.

    :woot:

It's been super fun for me, so far. As long as you have armor, take it slow, know when to back out, it's not hard. I'm looking forward to it!

Edit: don't trust me too much, though! I didn't even notice I had you on 3 wheels last time!

As long as the wheels stay pointed down all is good.

I definitely would notice if you were on the verge of tipping!

I have to wonder if I've been on 3 wheels myself on the occasions I went through there without a spotter. I'll have to stop and look one of these times!

Such a fun area! We're so lucky to have access to it!

I didn't know I was on 3 either untill I saw the picture so probably a good chance you've done it also.

    I agree, we are lucky!

I suppose there's nothing wrong with lifting a tire as long you're not tipping over.

I look forward to the 14th! And, another season starting next June! (Earlier for the T.W.A.T runs! )
