I've had my '21 TRD Sport for about a month. Tonight after I came back from walking the dog, I walked in the garage and heard the sound of a small electric motor running. Looked around and it was coming from the truck. Best I could tell it was the fuel pump running, it was coming from the area above the fuel tank. The truck had been parked & shut off for about 5 hours. I started it up, shut it off and the running motor stopped.

    Is this a thing?

Evap pump im guessing. It pressurizes the gas tank to check for leaks so the dealer can take your money... err... save the environment.

Your fuel pump won't always make noises when unattended, but when it does, it maybe a normal characteristic of your truck

    Cheers

It's in the owner's manual, too.
