Dual Switch to added vehicle Lamp circuits

Added dual switch provides selection between tapped circuit or alone (anytime).
D35 Intercept harness provides switch illumination tie.
C11 (Light Stalk) provides tie to the various lamp circuits (Fog, Parking, Low Beams, High Beams, even High Beam Flash, even Turn circuit-Curb Lamps)
Diode isolates tied/tapped circuit from the ON position of the dual switch.

Switch wires (Caliraised type, there are other configuration/wire colors from various manufacturers)

When High Beams are selected with the combination switch the added lamps will illuminate also.

Very, Nice.
I think I needed to install a diode for my dual switch. 12V from somewhere burnt out my top switch's illumination LED (Green/Blue LED).
My Dual Switch is from

4RunRun, I think the 12V LED illumination circuit is crossed somewhere on the PCB inside the switch.

 

Could be the fused input is on the incorrect wire on the switch.

 

Diode is to isolate tapped circuit.
In case switch is left on "AUTO"(Parallel to tapped circuit)
and you press the ON switch, tapped circuit won't activate.

I have not seen this style if switch before. I done auto/on circuits in the past but always with a SPDT or DPDT switch. This will look more factory than what I have found. Thanks for sharing

Switches provide:
OFF
AUTO- as in ON with tapped circuit.(diode isolates tapped circuit)
ON - at anytime (if relay shares "HOT" fused source) or anytime after IGN (Relay coil tied to fused IGN source)
All no cut to OEM wiring.
*Rock Lamps are ON when unlock/door open, OFF & ON (anytime)
