    ***Important Context***

I am in the right most lane and the other driver cut me off and passed from the right shoulder (not a driving lane) you can also hear my right turn signal engaged.

He hit the cone and popped his right front tire which kicked debris at my truck. some minor things hit it and made a few loud dings but I did not see any damage. Did look at my windshield specifically and its all okay.

Close call but no damage to my truck that I have seen. I did inspect it after pulling into a parking lot a minute after getting off the freeway.

Don’t speed and drive erratically. This is also why I don't use my phone while driving.

Sorry for the quality. The sun made it hard to see. It was 1080p 60fps. Also ignore the music and the loud horn.

It is imperative that when driving in the extreme right lane whilst approaching a merge from the same side to try and merge to the left lane (making sure no one is fast approaching on the left and it is safe to do so) so that merging traffic doesn't perform a "Richard Cranium" move like what just happened to you.

We have two lane divided highway here in Delaware and lots of drivers from PA, MD, NJ, NY, VA driving like they're back in their home state. Don't get me wrong...there are Delaware peeps who do some stupid @#$% moves but the out-of-staters seem emboldened.

Glad you are ok and damage was not too extensive.

Yeah, CHP & tow trucks were on scene shortly after. I'm not saying he deserved it but that is what happens when you don't drive how you are supposed to drive.

I'm always keeping an eye of traffic behind me...maybe it's because I've driven highway 1 North/South here in Delaware so frequently that I either slow down or merge to the left (depending on how fast drivers are approaching from the left before I get to the merge) to prevent merge interference--what I call it since merging traffic does not have the right of way...and can be emboldened to take the right of way...anyway.

At speed, I'd sooner give right of way than fight merging/incoming traffic making a "Richard Cranium" move.

me too! thanks! and it was fm radio not my bluetooth. Didn't have the phone connected at the time.

I will say the sun was bad but I did have some quality $20 dicks sporting goods sunglasses on that protect my eyes!!!

    Me to!

no horn rights were revoked. however I would have to say I could have let off after about 3 seconds. but hey :annoyed:given the circumstances.... and I am not one to usually resort to honking the horn.
and he hit a traffic cone.

As ironic as this sounds... I am very keen and aware of traffic and I honestly just "didn't see him"... had we collided I wouldn't have been at fault by any means so It wouldn't matter for me being at fault in that aspect. with that being said, he was also in a blind spot possibly and also not in a traffic lane. Who know I had to look right when exiting the freeway while in the right most lane \(._.)/

A Roav dashcam. I think the quality is bad from uploading to youtube and having direct sunlight on it.

How did the camera pick up the music and the horn and not you cussing out the other driver? :)

I shudder to think what a dash cam would hear me say. Sorry officer, I can provide the video but noooooo audio. :anonymous:

I’m saying the guy with the ruptured tire that passed on the right dangerously deserves it. Hopefully they can’t financially recover and they aren’t back on the road doing the same shit next week. Screw these people - zero sympathy.

Oh I was focused on my driving, not hitting him, heavily braking... and obviously the horn :rofl:I did not say anything out loud so the dash cam did not miss me cursing. Believe me, I was livid for a sec but no point to get aggravated and do something irrational on my end! and your point about the officer point haha hearing a bunch of curse words would be funny but noo
