    Hey all,
So I’ve been dealing with my 4wd not engaging for a couple months, i read forums and watched YouTube videos and the most common issue was the actuator. I took my front diff actuator out and it was clean inside but while I had it open I tested the motor and beef up the solder connection to it. I put it back in and 4wd light still just keeps blinking. When I turn the switch for 4wd I can hear the motor in my transfer case actuator but nothing in the front diff actuator. I finally broke down and brought it into the stealership for diagnosing after pulling the actuator out like 3 times. Their diagnosis was that I need 2 “detection switches” … I’ve never heard anyone have issues with them in any of the reseating did. They want $400 to install these switches. $80 for one and $120 for the other, plus the $200 for troubleshooting. I was thinking I can just install these switches myself but started weighing me crawling under the truck on the street removing my skid plates (again) and am now leaning towards just letting them do the work. Any input on these switches or the work needed to install them would help with my decision. Thanks in advance.

The detent switches are super easy to install, I'd do them yourself. Come out with one connector and a socket each. PNs are 8422212010 and 8422235121
