So I was just told by a guy on facebook that the 3rd gen tacoma leaf springs are the TSB leaf springs for the 2nd gens. Can anyone confirm this for me?

Overall the squeaky springs confuse me. Mine squeaked like a sonofabitch at first, tried lubing them, tried bike tube (first trail took care of the bike tube) but nothing worked. Wrecked the truck and they gave me a new RR leaf pack and fixed my LR leaf pack. Now imagine after all that, now the brand new leaf pack is the one that squeaks! And i just realized this actually, but ever since i installed my 2" AAl in the TSb packs on both sides i havent heard a peep outta them. So it must be the shitty pad/shim/nosqueak thingies somewhere in that pack.

Just a suggestion, but I've been using motorcycle chain lube on suspension parts for close to two decades and it has worked well for me.

It's probably a carcinogen and terrible for the environment, but it comes in a handy aerosol can and lasts longer than anything else I've tried.

Still waiting on the dealer to tell me they are in stock!!! By the time they get in stock I hope I have a lift kit instead cause I’m assuming the replacement parts will make the same noise!

This is a terrific statement. If you have not objections @JTM1, I'd like to quote this (if I can figure out how to do it...)

Edit: I figured it out. Let me know if you'd like me to make it anonymous..

Better off installing dakar leaf packs. The new tsb leaf packs have 4 leafs total instead of the weak 3 leaf pack but regardless, my leaf pack is going to be on the way out for dakar heavies soon

Do you know if they still have the problem with making noise after any washboard driving?

I'm not sure what noise you're talking about? The squeaks our "normal" because of the shitty Anti squeak things in the packs.

Can't confirm because I don't have PN access to do so. But I'd not be surprised. The underpinnings of the 3rd gen aren't nearly as different from 2nd as many thought they would be.

Leaf springs have squeaked since the beginning of leaf springs. On all marquees. Just Google 'fix noisy leaf springs'

Here is a good thread on one guys fix. Note it's on a 3rd gen.

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/finally-killed-that-retched-leaf-spring-squeak.451011/

Here is a good product if you need to dig further.

    https://www.speedwaymotors.com/Leaf...oc1m19uh33oHWElV-g2UCaOUZJZg2ll4aAgN_EALw_wcB

All these do is address squeaks. They do not improve the lousy load carrying capability of the OE springs.

Super late, but on this tab, are you counting the overload as a Leaf? Or 3 plus overload is old and being replaced with a 4 plus overload?

Technically the overload is a leaf. The tsb packs still suck though. Dakars provided needed flex gainz
