Well, this fall I've had to replace many things on my 2005 tacoma trd off road. Some things being original and some wear and tear.

Front brakes (calipers, pads and rotors)
Upper control arms, struts, sway bar links, sway bar bushings, cv axles and found out last week my lower control arms were bad because alot of my other stuff was still original.
Picked up the lower control arms from the dealership to have my mechanic put them on tonight ($848 for those without the hardware) and bought my tires to have the dealership mount and balance them when they were going to do the alignment tomorrow.
Driving home from work on Thursday, and someone comes across my lane to turn without seeing me she said. (At least she was nice, and admitted it was her fault in front of the officer I insisted come and do a report).
I brought to one collision center on my way home and they deemed it undriveable based on headlight. The headlight, fog light, front bumper, fender is bent and a bunch of stuff behind the headlight casing is all bent in.

This is the first time my tacoma has been in an accident in the 259k miles I've had her.
    I can't catch a break.

Accidents happen, that’s why we have insurance. Sorry for the mishap, sounds like the other party is handling it responsibly. Glad nobody got hurt…but I do hate to see a wounded Tacoma :(

The Tacoma can be repaired. The important thing is nobody was injured. Sounds super cliché, just trying to give some perspective!

It sucks about the truck. I would feel the same way as you if it were me. It's easy to get frustrated after spending a lot of time, money and effort on something and then an accident like this occurs. Keep in mind, after it gets repaired, all those new parts will still be there!

    Yikes!

Sounds pretty high even at dealer retail................

Sorry about the mishap. Hope there's a good shop in your area.

See you are in Maine. I'm assuming you treat your frame well and keep it relatively rust free?

The frame is 3 years old, and I do make sure to rinse the frame the best I can.

Did you not receive new LCAs when your frame was replaced 3 years ago?

It’s unfortunate but she can be fixed. Worked in the auto body industry all my life. Relatively minor. Good time for a few upgrades that the insurance can help pay for!!! Lol

Sucks but could of been worse. I have a headlight if you can use it. No charge, You’ll have to pay for shipping. Although it might not be worth shipping to Maine. Let me know.

I did, but my upper control arms and struts were still the original ones, along with cv axles.

Guess I wasn't following you earlier, but after rereading your post sounds like you were trying to say that your "recently" (3 year old) replaced LCAs were already bad because of the other parts still being original? If that's the case, I just found it a little bit surprising.

They owe for the damages and will just cut a check. Say for instance they’re paying for a new front bumper, you can use the money they pay you for the oem bumper towards a arb bumper instead, or aft headlights ect.

    Update.
They are going to slap a new headlight in until all the other parts come so I can have it to drive. Could be 6 weeks.
