4 cyl catalytic converter differences between model years

With all the talk of people's catalytic converters getting stolen... mine decided to crap out. Heard a little bit of a crackle in the exhaust maybe a month ago, then about a week ago it started sounding like someone dropped nails in my exhaust. I've heard mixed things about going aftermarket and I intend on keeping this truck for a long time, so gonna try to stick with OEM.

I looked at an 2005-2010 2.7 cat part number, and that's about $1200 or so at absolute best. While reasonable I guess for a catalytic converter, I still like deals. I realized, why are the part numbers different for 2005-2010 and 2011-2015? They're the same drivetrain as far as I know. A cat for a later truck is only around $800. Just trying to save money where I can. Rockauto sells the same aftermarket part number for both trucks.

Maybe someone can chime in and knows something I don't. I'd love to save $400 if I could.
