Hello. I just got a 2020 Toyota TRD 4runner. I has so many bells and whistles that I'm having a hard time learning it all. So you might see me on here a lot. lol Question: I'm trying to figure out the headlights. I want to set it on "auto" but there is no "auto" on the stock. I do have a button that says "AUTO".4runner button auto.jpg I can't find anything about that and what it's for in the manual. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Are the auto button for the high beam (oncoming traffic) or for the lights themselves when it's dark or light outside?

Or is that what your asking?

I have no idea. Maybe it's just for the high beams? It does not mention that button at all in the manual.

this is an auto high-beam button. if it is "on" then it will automatically turn off high beams when cars are approaching, and then back on when the road is clear

Okay, so just like the Taco / Tundra. Wasn't sure if it was the same for 4Runner. Makes sense though

Thank you. So because there is no "AUTO" on the stock( just daytime, full headlights, fog) ....does that mean I don't have auto headlights? Meaning daytime headlights on in day and when it gets dark the night time come on. ??

If there isn't an "auto" setting on the stalk you don't have auto headlights. The button you show, like others have said, is only for the high beams.

Some 4Runners just don't have them. I know my '21 Canadian Off Road does.

Sounds like you don't have an auto setting. However you can go the route of leaving the headlights on all the time. They will shut off after a minute or so when the vehicle is shut off and locked so you don't have to worry about that.

I leave mine on all the time when I park at night, I will usually turn them off the next day so the cluster isn't too dark though

You should be able to adjust the brightness of the cluster.
