I've been researching the forum and countless threads and would appreciate any guidance.

Most driving is highway; looking for something less offroad focused and more overland (less aggressive).

    - general grabber ATX

    - Nitto ridge grapplers (leaning towards these)

    - general grabber X3

Currently have 285 duratracs load E's and hoping to score some black Friday deal.

Any guidance and input would be greatly appreciated.

    I have the Nitto's in 255/80/17.

While they have been great offroad (dirt, gravel, rock), decent in mud and dry on pavement, they are not very good on wet pavement at all.
They don't hydroplane, but they will lose traction pretty easily when it's wet outside and I don't have weight in the bed.

It's been raining and misting here the last couple of days. I just now dropped my little boy off at school and easily spun my rear tires coming from a stop sign... and I'm pretty light on the the gas.

Of course others may have different experiences.

I'm probably going back to Falkens or I might try the Coopers when it's time to change (next spring).

    Cheers

The ATX and Ridge Grapplers would be solid choices for mostly highway usage. The X3 would fall into more of an Mud terrain option and may not offer as smooth of a ride or as decent of on road performance.

Tires are a product of compromise, no tire can score 5 out of 5 in every performance attribute, meaning there will always be a give and a take. PM on the way.

I am running the Yokohama G015's on mine....
They are a 'truck' rated tire and according to the survey I completed after buying them, I am what they suggest is a 'spirited' driver.
I drive mostly pavement, some logging roads and varied road conditions (bare and dry to snow and ice)
Living in the 'PNW', I also do a LOT of wet road driving.
So far, these have done very well for me. Much better than the factory Bridgestone's were (they hella scared me in the rain!).
The other's I looked at were the BFG KO2's and Nokian.
