    Hi Everyone -

Need your help. We have repaired many 3rd gen tacoma's (body work - salvage auction) and this is the 2nd tacoma we repair and cannot find what is causing this hissing noise when accelerating. Sounds like its coming from the radiator.

Has anyone experienced this noise before? Any recommendations what it may be?
no check engine lights appear whatsoever.

Tacoma was replaced with new radiator, new condenser, new transmission oil cooler, new purge valve...

***trying to add video with sound but can't upload***

Exhaust leak? Put a leaf blower in the tailpipe and pressurize the system

@gsubioguy - will need to look at the throttle body if its filled with gunk or not. Didn't think this would be an issue with only 21k miles on the Tacoma.
But it did flip to one side and didn't start when we received from auction. Once I cleaned the engine and replaced spark plugs (original were full of oil) it turned on immediately.

@Tacomike18 - did not think of vacuum leak or line leak, will need to check first thing tomorrow morning.

@Skydvrr did not know an exhaust leak may cause the sound and make it idle when accelerating. Exhaust seems to not have any noticeable hits from accident but it is rusted a bit (truck from New Hampshire).

Is the intake ducting all connected? Is the lid of the air filter housing cracked open slightly?

I mistakenly bought into the K&N CAI hype when I was younger and put one on my 1st gen Tacoma and when stepping on the gas moderately hard to hard in park or neutral you would hear the intake sucking air. When driving if at a very narrow throttle range you'd hear a whistling from the butterfly. But at this point I'm guessing that is not what you're hearing

@b_r_o all connected, only saw broken tab where the housing is held but no cracks (picture attached).

Posted URL for the video if this helps anyone (disregard triangle on dash - this was the TSS radar sensor, needed to be calibrated)
