    2013 tacoma 2.7 . with dipstick trans. T-iv
    none
    new hear- i have a 2013 Tacoma 4cyl. trans. with dip stick. Owners manual says nothing about checking trans. mine has a cool , hot on dipstick. Trying to find out check it running or not seems no one knows. Help..

    A few OE parts from fancy trucks
    It's best to check on level ground, running in Park, warmed up. The 'warm' mark is the full level.

    Fluid should be pink and smell good (not burnt)

    If some needs to be added, use a clean funnel, the correct Type IV fluid via the dipstick tube and do NOT overfill.

    Thinking they left it out of the book because the 4.0 trucks don't have dipsticks, so some dipstick forgot that the 2.7s did.
