Replaced Carrier bearing drive shaft warm

    We have a 96 Toyota Tacoma just replace the Carrier bearing. Drive shaft on one side next to Carrier bearing is getting warm how in warm how do we align the drive shaft and could this be the cause

    There is a pattern cleanliness vs dirt where your drive shaft parts came a part. You can use that as a clue to put it back together.

    iv suggested b e f o r e DISassembly

    spray paint 1 side A L L componets red

    opposite side blue

    maybe a 3rd side......white

    not a lot o paint................spots the size o a dime

    a brush is ok if & happen to have some krylon or vht sitting around

    red goes back to red

    blue to blue

    Thank you for the input we missed marking one end and that is the end that's getting warm. We are on our 3rd Carrier bearing.

    This shows correct assembly of driveshaft. If it still gets warm turn the slip yolk 180° .
    Is there play in Ujoints?
    Have you greased all driveshaft zerks?
