So really just a quick question. On the climate control it seems like there’s half clicks if that makes sense. It’ll stop between the defrost and the floorboard settings. But it does that for all settings on there. Is that normal? And what’s it for?

I've always assumed it was to get a mixture of the two settings it's between. EG if you put it on the click between vent and vent/floor you get more vent but some floor thrown in too. Something like 75% vent and 25% floor. Where if you picked the vent/floor option it would be 50/50 split.

Thank you but I’ve been here a long time. But I have had a 1st gen. Just now decided to upgrade to the 3rd gen and man what a difference.

    Check build thread!
This is my best guess too. Most other Toyota products are like this, so I assume the early 3rd gen wouldn't be much different. Congrats on the new truck by the way!

Thank you. I am enjoying it so far. I have had it about a month. I kind of wish I would have held out for a 4x4 but this one came up for the right price and when I pulled the carfax my uncles shop had done all the maintenance since it was new, so I know it was done right.

This is for a blend of the 2 setting. Some manufacturers will have a blend picture to illustrate that, Toyota decided not too.

The manual climate control system in these trucks is really nice, not only for the mid position "delicate adjustment" referred to above but also that you can have air flow with the fan off as long as the truck is moving, all of the older vehicles were like this. Many modern ones shut the air flow off if the fan isn't running.

Congratulations on the new to you truck.
