    Hey all,
I have been trying to figure out why my fuel pump stopped working after installing a new clock spring and haven’t seen any threads addressing this issue. Maybe it’s coincidence and the pump just crapped out at the same time but seems too connected. Maybe there’s a fuel cutoff when disconnecting the airbags. I’ve checked all fuses and relays and have 12 volts at the black/red wire that goes to pump under driver side door threshold. I’m at a loss but maybe there’s someone out there who has an answer. I have no priming going on when I turn key on or crank engine.

Is your security light flashing with the key on?

Check and make sure you plugged the Transponder Key Amplifier and didn't pinch any wires, that's what reads the key for the Immobilizer. If the Immobilizer can't read the key the security light will flash and the fuel system will be disabled.

Holy crap!! It was the stinking security shutoff! I turned the key on and off 5 times and cranked it on the sixth turn and it fired up! I love this site and how helpful all of you are on here. Thanks so much Dm93. I was in a pickle because I’m caretaking for my mom after a bone marrow biopsy and this was the last thing I wanted to sort out. You have literally made my day so much better! Your small effort put a huge smile on my moms face and possibly boosted her healing. An enormous thank you from both of us!
