Busy day yesterday helping my buddies up here on the mountain. And back at it today.

 

It's a pretty custom fit.

 

I did think about that exact upgrade. But with my Go Fast Camper it’s pretty much pointless to do that as no one will ever see it.

 

That makes complete sense.

 

I would always go with RCI over Cali Raised.

Yeah those were just the worst case scenarios if I have the worst case scenario damage with mold and parts. I guess you got lucky and had no mold or headliner damage. I believe I have mold because Ive had a weird smell in my truck for the last year. They were kind enough to give me this pimped out Highlander for a loner until I get my truck back.

 

Why RCI of Cali Raised? They look like similar skids, with a few differences. Close in weight and the same thickness. I’m leaning towards the Cali raised for a few reasons, including it looks like it goes back further than the RCI and I can get it in steel and paint it myself. I was looking at CBI too but with a 12 week lead time, that’s a no lol.

This past Friday my buddy settled on this 5acre lot that touches his property. This is the flat spot & view from the top of the property, very secluded. He paid $21k, but with some trimming he'll have a million dollar view.

 

I was in for my 20k service and they said "oh, looks like there is a recall for the bla bla bla....." I said, "you gonna remove and reinstall the cap?". She checked, said nope. I laughed and said "thought not". So maybe the first time I have it off for something I will address it. I honestly don't think mine is leaking, or just hasn't started to leak yet. Hell, I have left the slider open during rain storms but the cap prevents a lot of the water from coming in there. If I see any leaks I am just gonna smear silicone around it and hope it holds.

 

Way too much money.
