Can anyone recommend a good portable SW radio?

I picked up the C. Crane Skywave (not the SSB) one and while it's pretty nice with decent reception, weather, alerts, uses regular or rechargeable AA batteries, etc. the case just feels super cheap and likely to break since I'll mostly use it for camping. I've read lots of reviews saying the Tecsun 880 or 660 are among the best but those also seem to be rather cheap plastic, but I haven't seen one in person.

    Any recommendations?

Whenever I'm in the market for a radio, I usually go to this site for recommendations:

radiojayallen | Jay's Radio Reviews, Comparisons & Restorations

I've since picked up several Sangeon and one C.Crane radios. The only SW radio I own is an old Sony ICF-7600 GR, but I think Sony is out of the SW radio business.
