We're a few weeks behind you folks. I've got pear trees that haven't even begun to turn yet. So I'm right on schedule....if a little early.

Got our bedroom and one bathroom painted last night with some friends help. About to get the snowblower fired up for the first time and make sure it doesn't need anything. (Stored with ethanol free so fingers crossed) Having an electrician friend come by to give me an idea on powering the garage, as well as possibly installing some exterior lights on the house. After two close calls last night with wildlife, I'm looking at the ARB bumper for the tundra....

Have your electric friend install an outside gen box and lockout at the same time

The house is actually already wired for a gen, so that was a nice bonus. I just have to make a trip to Rhode Island and snag my family's generator that we don't use down there anymore.

I just realized I haven't posted a picture of the new garage inside. Here's what I have for space roughly. 5035DBC1-C634-4C7A-AECC-CA11E6A32F2A.jpg

And since I mentioned it, here's my blower @Tacoma Mike. It's going to need a new bowl seal as the current one is pissing gas when you try to prime it. interestingly, there isn't a fuel shutoff, so vice grips it is... E877E932-3469-4B47-8BA4-3506BF183D70.jpg

Well we're officially at a halt. Got almost all of what I needed cut out...

    20211107_140543.jpg

Even made a patch for the inner, but it appears my old welder (Flux core) is not up to the task at all. So it looks like this project will not only cost me materials, but probably $700 on a welder setup. Shit...

Here is the mtd with a bowl seal leak.
    Lol
I have another junk carb to try the seals in this one.

    everything else has been adjusted.
So giving it back to this person as a backup as he just gave it to me.
Been trying to get it from him for years as it ran like crap but just a carb adjustment
Took care of that but can’t let it go with a leak..

    The shut offs are cheap.
Get one before you finish that..

Check the small primer hose to the carb make sure it’s not cracked or broken..

    That’s not a garage… it’s a storage building..
And you have enough shit to store..
So big win for you lol

The actual "garage" is under the house, specifically under our bedroom. I don't want the smell of gas and paint and lord knows what else permeating up there. I still haven't gotten the other two motorcycle projects in there either. Not to mention the POS Sentra I got stuck with.
Edit: I checked that line first, but after a couple test primes I can watch the gas bubble out around the bowl.

@Plain Jane Taco the wood stove was left by the previous owners. Pretty happy about that, but I won't be working out there until next year probably. No power to it yet, and the estimate is 1500 to run everything to a sub panel in there. Also my insurance would have a conniption if they find out I'm using a wood stove in my garage.

Buy once cry once... welding structural bits like the shock tower it would probably be good to have a decent welder putting out solid welds.
