Shared this in the 3G forum, but figure you'll get a laugh. I pull my Pro grille and fogs in the winter. I know it's dumb, but I don't feel like having a $400 piece of plastic and $500 worth of fog lamps wrecked by a chunk of ice (yes, replicas are cheaper and look the same and DD SS3s are better for less, so judge me all you want). I've never played with Plastidip before, so I figured I'd do my stock grille. I really like the blacked out center but I wanted to have some fun with the surround. Since my import days red = more faster, I did this.

I think I like it more than I should TBH but whether I keep it for more than a season, I don't know.

I still need to pull my bed light bar and swap to snows, but I'll likely do the bed bar / tonneau Friday and then figure out what I want to do with the snows in a bit since the white stuff still isn't in the long term and it's still warm enough out that I don't want to chew my snows.

    Bitchin'!

I have a generic set of these in black (I think I have to cover my ditch lights for inspection), they were cheap like 10 bucks. Lost one in a car wash (so lesson learned, remove for car washes...), but still.

    https://www.amazon.com/Rigid-Indust...&sprefix=baja+ditch+light+cov,aps,614&sr=8-11

If and when I replace my fog lights (which are similar, Cali Raised but free, I'd replace with a white generic pod light), I will just get a white one with these covers for longevity. 10 bucks a year for new amber covers, lights are still like new. Yee haw!

PS if you ever need them, I still have them (TBD on pitching them) - a set of fog light housings and shrouds, if you want to have a second set at all for any reason. I think they're still good, no idea. I think some of the tabs may have been lost on removal :spy:

I actually have a set of those same covers for the Pro lamps. I have my OEM original TRD OR fogs in that photo.

[IMG]IMG_7757-edit by Mike M, on Flickr

That's what I run the other 3-seasons. I just joke around because the TRD Pro fogs, despite being Rigid are actually not good especially compared to the DD SS3 which is like 1/2 the cost of the OEM setup.

I’d kill to have the time to wash the truck. The grille was painted weeks ago. I’d like to do one final wash before the end of the year, but we will see. I’m eager to see what the Sport wheels will look like with the black flares even though you see Sports daily.

I miss the OR wheels, hindsight being 20/20 I should have bought 16” snows and called it good. This will be wheel set #6 on the truck.

Any of you guys need woolwaxing? Cost of materials and a sixer of your local, plus mileage to say, St. Johnsbury VT.

If you want a 1GR-FE Big 3 kit while you're here it's cheap too, and you can fondle the stunt fusebox so you don't break any clips in yours.

Oh shit...you're in St J? I just did our vehicles yesterday with FluidFilm (I plan to re-up with WoolWax when I finish up the 5 gallon pail I'm working through) and I'm just over in Cabot. How much for the big 3 kit?

Fuuuuuuuuuu if it wasn't so far awayyyyy

Sorry for the last minute cancellation. Wasn't about to limp it without coolant to Taunton, wrestle a wool wax covered radiator out, annnnd run the risk making it to work for noon today . I'll be signing up for one of them unlimited car washes around here and going a fair amount this winter - hopefully I'm cleaning as a whistle for you in the spring!

Got the radiator in. Forgot about those clamps. Should have gotten some worm gears. Those things sucked. But it's in, full, and functioning. Better than car juggling with the wife all week. Now just need to get it to inspection sometime soon.

Painting skid plate and putting it back up later this week.

No laugh, definitely eye catching and DTBD..makes it yours.

I was somehow able to get in a quick wash/wax 2 weeks ago on an unplanned day off. I still feel wrong about it, no clay or polish this year.
