What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

New wheels/tires yesterday.
I got the new Method 705’s and Wrangler Ultraterrains in 265/70r17.

 

Those wheels look cleeeeean. Nice looking truck my guy.

Stock suspension?

 

For the next few days, yes. Getting a little bit of rub (but only in reverse weirdly enough).
My 3” lift from Ironman4x4 is finally in and they’re putting the coils and shocks together for me, I hope to be installing it next weekend..

It was around $100 a wheel I believe. I couldn’t find something aftermarket I liked and decided I’d save some money this way. And not too many out there I’d imagine.

 

Thats not bad at all and it looks fantastic. I'm gonna have to look for powder coat shops in my area.

One of the last days to get it cleaned up before the snow hits. Turtle Wax Hybrid is awesome. I sure don’t miss the old school waxing.

 

Went fishing this morning. Stripers are migrating south right now and cows are being caught from the surf. I caught nothing but windburn. But it was the first time driving on the beach with my truck. That was fun!
Then it was time to take my son to his travel hockey game. They won. Good Sunday.

Test fit everything one more time smoothed out the corners, sanded, sanded again, danded a 3rd time, and then layed down the epoxy...next primer. Flat base coat, matte clear coat, polish and ceramic coat

Beach driving was so much fun this morning. Don’t have my air compressor yet so I aired down to 20 psi and was able to drive home like that. Luckily it’s a 7 minute drive.

 

yeah...keep that bag right there in the bed!! We don't want that "smell of victory" in the truck!!! I miss those days of getting to play as well as taking the kids to their games...

Front bulkhead the 2" of flap sticks up a bit. Toyota can't aligned anything straight.

Majority of Toyotas/Lexus vehicle will have caster/camber out of spec from factory. And it's always the right front suspension.
