My 2003 Tacoma has a mold smell thru AC vent upon startup. What is the best method to clean the evaporator box.
    a) Drill Tap thru evaporator plastic box under glove compartment and insert foam cleaner
    b) Inject Foam cleaner thru drain tube under car. Is the drain tube in a good location to maximizes foam reaching the coil in the vent system.
    c) Spray Lysol thru vent passenger side, near windshield under the hood.

What is the best foam cleaner product?

it is easy to take the blower motor out and from the inside of the passenger side you can reach up and feel if there is any decomposing debris in the bottom of the evaporator case.

I bet you there’s debris in your blower. I see it all the time in different cars, wildlife likes to get in there too. The blower comes out with like 4 screws I think. Very easy to change.

I think the mold smell is gone. How could the previous owner think just hanging scented xmas trees from the mirror is the solution. You are breathing straight mold with pine tree fragrance to hide the smell. 2.jpg 22.jpg 222.jpg
