I've always said, the Wright Brothers first airplane didn't fly anything like today's F15...

 

I just use the rack to keep the blood out of the truck. Plus when I'm by myself it's not as high to lift the deer.

 

I think the issue is mainly a result of having a couple of hundred pounds of Bambi three feet out; as you said a straight pull would be fine, but you wound up with a pivot point. I haven't looked at my truck with this in mind, but can you tie into to the bottom of the core support?

 

I need to look at it closer, haven't had time this morning to check it out.

Long over and done with, but in the spirit, brined (24hrs) and oven.

 

We'll toss it in a bag and throw it in the oven.

 

The turkey itself will probably be done in the oven. (Mother in law is taking care of that) But I will be smoking some pork belly for lunch/snacks.

Re: the poll. We're having ham this year, so I picked the dry option.

We're having a ham too, not sure how it'll be cooked. Probably oven since the smoker isn't that big. I'd love to smoke a ham sometime though.
