Ive owned my tacoma since november 2000, and this is the first major work Ive had to do.
the oil seal on the right rear started leaking after 208000 miles, so i decided to replace the wheel bearings and seals on both sides. After previewing several videos I found none of the axle assembly exactly like mine. when I got around to replacing the shoes I found the automatic adjuster assembly was no exception, The pin that hold the levers to the shoe was much larger and has no and has no step in it. My question is was I given the wrong shoes or do I need to replace the auto adjuster assembly and spring ? The parts dealer swears they are the right shoes.
