OK, here's the deal. On the overflow tank for your pretty pink antifreeze, there's a little rubber plug with a clamp on the bottom. My plug is leaking. You can't buy this part from Toyota, so I have to make up my own. I plan on using a section of some tight fitting fuel line to go over the nipple, and then plug up the other end with Black RTV. Any other ideas of how to plug up the overflow tank?

Will ultra black work with antifreeze? Thanks in advance. It's the one I have in my garage.

Putting a bolt or something in the other end of the hose would be the simplest but yes any RTV should be fine with antifreeze.

Any auto parts store will have vacuum caps you could use. Last time I bought some it came in a pack with about 10 of different sizes, cost less than 5 bucks. Look at it occasionally to make sure it isn't cracking.

Or you could find proper coolant hose that fits, get a brass hose barb that fits, then cap or plug the other end of the barb with a brass threaded cap or plug. Or just fold the hose over and put a tight ziptie on it, what I would do.

Pretty sure they sell tubing plugs in the plumbing department. I’d trust something plugging the line much more than rtv in the end.

Vacuum caps are another good suggestion
