I understand the expenses involved, however that excuse wouldn’t fly for why a jurisdiction couldn’t afford a police force, so I refuse to get on board with it for the fire service. Even in rural settings, a fire department can do inspections and code enforcement when they aren’t running alarms. From public gathering space to grain silos and places in between.

You guys have been great and answered most all of my questions, however I do have one more. That being as @Bajatacoma said in his previous post and I quote, "Whatever you do be sure to wire in the dimmer function." My question is, the mounted visor lights I was looking into getting for front coverage does not come with a "high/low intensity" aka dimmer function. I have a 5% tinted brow on my windshield that I'm considering replacing with 10% tint. That being said, without the dimming function would the tint help with the intensity? (in your opinion or experience).

I drive a 1st gen Toyota Tacoma, I am a volunteer firefighter in Louisiana. I run mainly speed-tech lights but they work just fine. I have a Speed-tech 21 inch light bar on the roof in red/white alternating, I also run two speed-tech striker 2 in the back window. I have an Amazon Xprite dash light in red and white. The siren i run is a amazon siren which I believe to move traffic just fine with a whelen speaker just inside the lower bumper.
