    Oooh yeah

I need to learn when it's appropriate and where exactly for strength.

Btw, stainless is fun as hell.

    First ever pass

My second one here (one above). Made it more difficult due to the forced angle as the other guy welded the bottom T I had to weld over

Now I know I definitely want a Miller machine, but to start right away at the new house I'm going to get a Harbor Freight Titanium welder.

I was reading up and watching videos on welding aluminum with a spool gun; looks easy enough to want to try :anonymous:

yeah if u can form a schedule, complete tasks in the same manner consistently, and accommodate there's no need. In addition to emotional it also causes some ED, no fun . very productive drug tho, i admit

Look up the Miller push pull machines, they're like MIG/TIG combo machines that make it so you can artfully weld aluminum and at high thickness without taking a year and a half like you would with TIG

I'm not ashamed to mention I completely forgot about that, in high school I think it would have taken a Scar Face mtn of drugs to suppress that though haha

UPS MyChoice gets my vote for 'Hot Mess Website' of the week. All I wanna do is update my address so I can delay a package, but noooooo.

I used to be amazed at how badly big companies with deep pockets can screw up technology. Even Microsoft Teams is a disaster on my work phone.

Now I work for one, and it allll makes sense

Forgot to mention, the other guy helping me had issues with the thin plate we welded on.

He didn't clamp it down like I did against the table and so it kept warping the more he welded on it. Found out too late

    Thank you sir

But it's like taking a pic and posting it without a filter :burp:

Gun angle of attack and distance directly affects spatter, you can cut down without doing it after the fact ;)

I did expect something different; what exactly I wasn't sure.

I couldn't get the angle lower like I wanted because of the T I had to stand over unfortunately.

Wait till Miller is offering their good rebates. That's how I got my Millermatic 211 for around $1000.

Once I added the aluminum spool gun and ppe and gas it was about the normal price.

So how useful are the spool guns? My miller can take one but I've heard they're kind of a pain to use.

IMO they are well worth the expense. I am a horrible TIG welder but I can make passable work sprayin and prayin with a spool gun

I haven't used it yet. Going to be building a soft top soon for the 4Runner so I guess I'll find out how good/bad it is.
