I joined TW in January because I intended on hitting the road less traveled and was looking at turning my 2017 DCSB into something more than my daily driver. But 2021 had some different ideas.

On February 16th (my fiancee's birthday) I got T-boned and my Taco was totaled. Luckily she wasn't with me...

Yes, that's the driveshaft. I had to move it out of the other lane...

    RIP 2017 DCSB

The good news is that within two months I wound up with a 2021 Army Green DCLB. Took delivery on April 14th. I was lucky because the guy that ordered it decided he wanted a Camry instead; I can't explain his logic but I'm not complaining...

    Hello 2021 DCLB

Then in March I found out that I had a slab and sewer leak. Had to re-pipe the house and rip out the driveway to fix the sewer.

    This project is still ongoing...

Then on June 28th the fiancee became the Missus...
    IMG_6442.jpg

So between February and June money was flying out of my savings account like no ones business...

Then at the end of August I lost my job. I knew it was coming. My position got transferred to North Carolina but I elected not to transfer with it. Not the end of the world - I have options. But still...

As 2021 winds down I find myself grateful. The house project is coming to an end, I'm healthy, have a new Taco and a wonderful wife. Both of us are ready to start getting in the truck and heading out.

Glad to finally be back on TW. More to follow...

Definitely a roller coaster year but the great attitude will go far. Congrats on the new bride and the truck both are helpful in rough times. At least my wife of 27 years has been a blessing and my truck is a joy to drive. Welcome back!

Good God man! You need for 2021 to be over! Remember, you can get through anything as long as you do it as a team. And if you don't want more money flying out of your savings account, stay off TW! :)

BUCKLE UP! It makes it harder for Aliens to pull you out of your Truck.
Now, rescue a dog. Jazz spent 5 years in a cage. We got a call that if we didn’t take her, she was next. I thought we were saving her; turns out she was saving us. C27C4193-C226-4A6C-B572-97FE909FAFA0.jpg Shes half pomegranate ;) half Sheltie

Congrats on your marriage! On all that other stuff, just keep moving forward man. It's been tough sledding but you'll get through this.

Wow! I admire your positive attitude and outlook! That right there is what keeps people going through the rough times! Good luck with everything - finishing up the project, the new taco and the new budget manager - kidding of course!

The new budget manager is a good one. She consistently reminds me when I could've bought something at the Dollar Tree. She hasn't balked (yet) when I spend money on the Taco or Over-Landing related gear.

I appreciate the suggestion. They are good little dogs but I was hoping for something a little bigger. I may be leaning towards a standard Schnauzer...

It is beautiful but I have too much keeping me here for now. When I do end up moving (which I will) it'll likely be more central

IMO it'll be sharper looking when I switch out the Predator Steps for Sliders and get some bigger tires...

But Thank you. I'm really happy with it. I didn't know how much I would end up liking how the LB looks. Plus the extra bed space isn't bothering me either

Yeah I prefer the LB as well. That extra space is really nice when loading up. I have a cap and full Martin off road racks for the cab and cap. Looks like a trail limo but fits my needs. Eventually I’ll do a mild lift when I wear out the factory suspension. LBs look awesome lifted, more proportional than stock height IMO.
