I appreciate that. I think they look way too skinny, I just can’t shake that thought.

Any chance you've got a front on photo of your rig with these on?

Haha trust me I do too! Next time I meet up with my buddy I will. But My next tire will definitely be a 35 pizza cutter in either these Kenda Klever or Mickey Thompson Baja. I have the setup ready to go. Spindle gusset, lower control arm braces, CMC. Just need these 255’s to wear down

Looks like you’ve got an excuse to take a couple week road trip! Sidenote: are those the Marlin crawler LCA braces?

I'm rolling on 255/85R16 tires mounted to stock steel wheels. Stock suspension with some added armor (skids & sliders). Zero rub.

I have to wonder if I have so much clearance with stock only because I have the lighter weight access cab and a four cylinder. ???
But then my truck didn't come with fancy Bilstein shocks either.
It might all boil down to the wheel off-set. I didn't change that.

    See bold above.
    You answered your own question.

Wheel specs aren’t the only variable contributing to tire clearance, but I’d contend it is the primary and leading variable.

They do amazing in sand! I've had them for about a year and they've been the best tire I've put on my rig. I've put them through a lot from deep sand to deep snow and they keep on kicking ass. I usually air down to 15psi when offroading, but have taken them to 8psi without issues.

Man, that pic makes them look way better than they look in person (for me at least)

What psi do you run them at on the street? Based on the wear they have over this first year can you give a rough estimate of how many miles you’ll get out of em?

I do 37psi all around for street. I actually recently did that math and looks like I'll be able to get about 60k+ miles out of them with how things are going so far. I've read of people getting upwards of 85k out of them too.

Holy sh** that’s nuts! Definitely give an update if their wear characteristics change over time!
