    Thank You!

I was 19yr old in 1986 and had waited 6 months (DEP Delayed Entry Program) for Boot Camp. Leaving Los Angeles was the best decision for me at the time.

Had 8 assignments...first one as a single guy...met my future wife on my first overseas assignment to England in 1989. Two daughters...both married/no kids. Our adult kids are well rounded moving/adjusting to overseas assignments:

    Williams AFB, AZ
    RAF Wethersfield, England (Married)
    RAF Mildenhall, England
    Dyess AFB, TX
Hickam AFB, HI (TDY to Thailand)
Ramstein AB, Germany (Several TDYs: Crete, Greece/Incirlik, Turkey/Paris, France/Aviano, Italy)
Dover, DE (Included a 365 to Kirkuk AB, Iraq which allowed me to pick my follow-on: Aviano)
Aviano AB, Italy (TDYs: Zaragoza, Spain/Lulea, Sweden)

I retired out of Aviano and came back to Dover, Delaware...so glad we bought our first and only home there!

    Been retired 10 years and I'm on my 8th job since 2011. I guess I'm marketable as a Logistician...lol.

    EDIT: TDY=Temporary Duty

    Thanks again!

I've been blessed with good health and a fantastic family. My wife's siblings live in England except two of her 6 sisters who live in Florida. There's Eight siblings (7 girls/1boy) in my wife's family and she is the youngest.

Wife still has her accent and people LOVE it. She's a regular Julie Andrews/Mary Poppins to anyone who hears her speak. Her name happens to be Julie too! lol

Well, while this is normally a great day for the Vets and supports and patriots of all backgrounds, I managed to royally screw mine up. The wife and we’re about to leave to go do a little driving around. The truck was running and I had to go back in the house for something. Then **BAM!!!!!** rolled my ankle and spent about 4 hours in the ER. 90E332DE-2B6D-4A76-86EB-4393034B0711.jpg 9AF2F3D3-7819-4F15-B996-698BCD8F9BFB.jpg

    ^^Ugh!!!

    Sorry to hear about that.

I've done something similar at work several weeks back. I found out I can't run in-place then stop instantly to pick up my pen from the floor.

My calf muscle went berserk! Took a week to allow the muscle to return to normal. I remember going to the beach and walking on the sand and how excruciating that was...

Ice up, elevate and stay off you ankle.
