My steering wheel has some rubbing / clicking noise recently when turning the wheel in either direction. Took to the dealership to fix and they are telling me there is play in the upper ball joints and recommends replacing the upper control arms to fix…$1400 parts/labor. Now I bought the truck CPO with extended warranty at 17k and now has 27k in the almost 3 years I had it. Should this be covered and is the fact that I have aftermarket wheels/ tires and a leveling kit in the front valid for it not being covered under warranty???!!!

Did you ask them why it wasn't covered under your extended warranty? Anything we'd tell you would be a guess, they are the ones asking you to pay for it. That said, yes, it's possible they could claim that your suspension mod, aftermarket wheels, and oversized tires are causing the issue, in which case they'd deny your claim for suspension repair. You would need to ask them to know that though.

    Thanks FL_TRD Sport

They are actually being covered under warranty shockingly as I have had faulty leaf spring spacers replaced in the past year that the same dealership denied due to a lift block being installed. They approved this though to my delight for some reason.
