Sounds like you have a fun driveway. Are you scraping the bumper or the hitch? My hitch scrapes all the time even with a 2” lift. I plan to install a rear bumper with a integrated hitch to help with the departure angle. My skid scrapes often too, but that’s its job. As long as I keep going forward, I’m not worried about it.

You don’t need a lift to fit the 285 33s; but you need to trim. I have 255 33s. No trimming required.

If I had a TRD I would be thinking about fitting bigger tires and aftermarket bumpers instead of changing out the suspension which I paid dearly for. Maybe an exhaust reroute too.

I tried fitting my 4runner wheels and tires(285/75/17's) on it and rubbed like crazy and comes too close for comfort to the uca. Not too worried about the money, just don't want to spend a lot for a kit I'd only use until the mid travel kit is available.

I hit the hitch and the bumper (on the gravel), especially if I have weight in the back.
