Im sure some of this is out of order or erratic. Please look past that, and my big thumb typos.

I went with a 2 inch lift because everything ive come across thats 3 inches or more seems to have more issues than most when it comes to vibration. I never took before measurements, but its deffinately sitting way higher than expected, with out issue.

I have no noise issues, no vibration issues, and ive done over 2000 miles on it since this was all put on. In fact, 3 days after the lift was installed i took a 1000 mile round trip road trip to pick up a 1000lb power hammer for my shop. Towed with no isses and the suspension was great. I WILL be adding a Southern style offroad full plate winch and bumper up front soon, waiting for that bumper to ship soon, and a super pacific camper put back, and moat likely SSOs rear bumper. I dont want a swing arm permanently on the truck, so im going to fab my own that will utilize the hitch to carry my spare.
    Im running 265/75 r16 BFG ko2s load range E.

Mpg average is 18 according to the scan gauge.

How does it ride? Smooth as far as im concerned. And actually takes pot holes better when i cant avoid them.
I never understood the comments about load E having a harsh ride, and i have permanently broken vertebrae from college sports. Im pain free and comfy. I was never looking for the ride of a Lexus.

This wont be a mall queen. It has and will see more offroad after im finished.

    Front coil overs.
TTLK20 - Toytec Boss 2.0 Front Aluma Series Coilovers

    Rear shocks
    LKTAC20R-P - Toytec 2.0 Aluma Series IFP Rear Shocks (05+Tacoma /00-06 Tundra)

    SKU: LKTAC20R-P

    1 $369.00

Upper control arms for the front from SPC.
I wanted the adjustability for potential front end alignment issues. I also used to run Total Chaos UCAs on my Xterra, they were fine, but that uniball was a pain in the ass sometimes and would squeak. I wanted something sealed.

ECGS front driver side bearing. I did this because the truck was already apart, and i didnt want to potentially have to take it apart twice and install the new bearing.

No front diff drop spacera needed.

    Rear leaf pack.

    Alcan. 963 bucks plus shipping.
These were custom made for my truck and the extra weight ill carry plus the lift i wanted. This is worth the money, ive always used Alcan for my trucks. No shims needed, no carrier bearing drop spacers needed as well. Lew from Alcan said the way they arch the springs, shims shouldnt ever be needed.
Also, something to keep in mind, an add a leaf really doesnt give you extra weight carrying capacity, just lift. So i wanted to spend money one time and accomplish what i was going to need.

I also did a ubolt flip kit with new super bumps.

Final thing to share. I paid my mechanic to do this work for me. My health has taken a hit the past two tears and i just couldnt do the job this time. I am getting better though, so thats something. The work included all the parts installed, the front end alignment and sensor adjustments needed w the computer. Something about pitch and yaw was in that technical information on my receipt. I paid 1200 bucks for instillation.

No plans for bigger tires right now. I dont want to spend the cash to regear. But when i do ill add arb air lockers front and rrar all at the same time. So, ill have a while to save up for that stuff.

Coming from Nissan, the toyota aftermarket options are awesome and endless. Such a nice change.

I wanted to post this so people can see what it took to get a ,so far, quality problem free lift. Dont email companies with questions, call them, its a huge help and a better way to talk through needs. Alcan and toytec were the best on the phone and helped me get the right parts for what i will be doing.
Ask questions if you have them. This will hopefully steer aome noobs in one, of the many CORRECT directions to having a problem free lift.

    Looks great man!

Im actually getting a 2” lift installed as we speak, picking up my truck after work. Super excited!

I went with dobinsons leafs, OME front springs and OME nitro charger shocks. Originally was gonna do 5100s, but was told there are much better options for the price.

The kit that I got was actually designed for a Tacoma, pretty cool.

Get a favorite beverage on your way home from picking up the truck. Youll want to just sit outside and look at it! Ha, really, its funny how much "better" it looks after the lift is put on.

Dude, that was my plan exactly haha! I’m also getting a trd skid today so let’s just say I’m going to stare at my truck for a while tonight.

I’ll post a pic when I pick up my truck today!

Where did you get your kit from? I'll be in the market soon myself. Can't wait to see yours when it's done!

I’m in BC, so I’m getting it done at west coast off-road in north vancouver if that means anything to you. The kit was recommended by the shop, as they specialize in tacos. They had it in stock.

Will post pics in few hours! Can’t wait!

I had a 2" lift on my '03 and it was perfect. Handled really nice on & off road. Anything more than that gets expensive too...

Why do we post pictures of our trucks? They all look identical with a few exceptions.

Picked up my truck! Loving it!:D

The ride is so much better too. No vibrations or anything like that, drives like it did before.
