My buddy just bought an "85" Hilux Galaxy motor home. All in pretty dang nice shape shape except the auto. trans. is bad, with only 60K. He's been reading that these asian warner auto.'s don't hold up very well in these motor homes. Is there a fix for these transmissions to make them strong enough to handle the weight & wind resistance of this motor home, or will he better off converting to a 5 speed manual. Attn. gearcruncher, what would you recommend?
