My DCLB build after selling my first gen Tacoma.. Needed more room for camping/biking and the extra power from the 4.0 is a welcome bonus.

Thoughts behind the build is making it more capable to get into fishing/hunting spots while still driving well and getting decent gas mileage (average since all mods 17.4 mpg).
Softopper is awesome, lets me haul a bike somewhere and unload and it folds back up and I setup my bed in it.

    Here's what it's running..

    Lift
Rear - Bilstein 5100 with icon 2.5" AAL
    Front - Bilstein 6112 set at 5/6

    Wheels
    Replika R213 - 17"
    255/75/R17 - firestone destination XT

    Accessories
    Softopper canopy
    Brightsource lightbar and fog lights
    M8000 winch

It had a spacer and block lift when I first picked it up with original suspension that was beyond shot.. zero dampening left in the rear and the front hardly moved from the coil spacer.

Started off with designing and welding up a front bumper with a reciever to have a removable point for the winch. I changed this design from my first gen build where I had an integrated winch in the front bumper. Had a few times where it would have been helpful to have a pull from the rear so now I have the M8000 winch in a cradle with a reciever so I can use it on both ends.
Tried to make a very light prerunner style, plate bumper, wanted all the clearance I could get and be able to fit a lightbar behind it.

Next was to start hacking the bedsides, the same treatment the first gen recieved..

Started with a tube and flat bar that mounts to the stock bolt holes, similar slim/light design. The sides are still a bit flimsy so I plan to add some more bracing next time the bumper is off.

Used Raptor liner to coat the bumpers and turned out really well.

Wired in cable with quick connects to the rear and the front, it has a master switch under the hood so theres not always power running to it.

Picked up some Replika 17" rims

Top works great to keep some shade and still have airflow to cool off fresh game!

Next up is a better skid plate and gas tank skid and a coat of white Raptor liner..
