Got my Booster Shot today at the VA.

To the Vets here if you are receiving the Vaccine the VA in Newington is offering the Booster Vaccine now.

If your interested make a appointment on the VA wed site for either West Haven or Newington campus , I realize that not everyone is interested in getting the Vaccine but I'm just sharing information.

Did a lot more work in the house yesterday, with the help of my pops, father in law, uncle, and two cousins.

We put up the two load bearing beams to support the ceiling structure in the open concept the Mrs so badly wants. We also ripped up almost all of the kitchen tile flooring since she wants to do hardwood floor everywhere.

On Saturday, my pops and I were in my attic all afternoon to sort out most of the electrical wiring since we need to remove and relocate switches and outlets.

Next up is getting some new plywood for the flooring. The tile was glued to the wood before, so the glue and mesh that held it didn't really come out, so we need new flooring down so we can put the hardwood floor on top. Then we need to buy unfinished hard wood flooring and put that down, and then have the entire house floor refinished so it can all match.

I'll try to remember to take a pic of what it's looking like now, when I get home later.

 

I'm so happy I don't deal with electrical anymore lol, ive definitely had many a day doing that shit

My pops is an electrician by trade, and works for a local small electrical company that does both residential and commercial work. He's also a bit of a "jack of all trades" when it comes to the other stuff. He's not the best at it, but he knows enough to be able to do a good job, so I definitely luck out there.

 

Ran my 2017 SR through its first CT emissions test. It passed with flying colors. The technician that ran the test said: "It passed. It's a Toyota and they always pass.".

 

Haha, tell that to my long-departed '05 4Runner...

I remember we had to do the circuit reroute thing when this guy had an elevator put in for his dad, something like 4 or 5 separate circuits had to be spliced at 2 points and routed around the shaft being put in and it was like 2 or 3 days of work straight. I know you're tearing down walls but hopefully you don't have to move too much around. And that open floor plan is gonna do wonders for the feel of the house so you have that to look forward to
