if i let the truck sit for 3 or 4 days and get in it the engine turns over 3 or 4 times then the battery goes flat

i would hit up a shop and have them load test the battery to see if it fails if you have not already

Get the battery tested at a store. If it tests okay, then you have a parasitic draw, and there's a procedure on how to diagnose that. I see in your profile you have a CB radio wired up, is it possible that is drawing power while the truck is off?

it shouldn't when I wired it in we checked the prongs where the fuse tap goes and it was dead when the ignition was off so we wired it into that one

Issue aside, what department is this tacoma associate with? I don't see any department logo. Even a volunteer department will have their logo affixed to the door.

Sorry, I did not clarify. This truck is my POV. Nevertheless I do have a Maltese cross on my front windshield and two stickers on my back window. I’m a firefighter for a volunteer department in Louisiana.

With its lights and siren, do this tacoma have comm as well? All fire engine, fire truck, and rescue box required a shoreline when the unit it turned off to keep the battery charged because of the draw with comm etc.

Did this issue occur after a something new got installed or repaired was made? Or has this issue been on going?

issue has been going on before adding lights and siren. I will add more lights to the rear window of the truck(in order to make it emergency compliant for my department) when i have the fuse panel open I will check with my multi-meter to insure the system is only powered when the vehicle is running or the key is on.

Checked for draw no more than 0.18-0.22 draw pulled every fuse and nothing seemed to drop the number.

Current should be no more than .05. You’ve got something draining your battery. The test should be done with a fully charged battery too. Was yours charged to 12.5+ volts?

Did you try both fuse boxes? Do you have trailer wiring or a brake controller? Those have separate fuses usually under the back seat.

Yes, fully charged battery. I do have a trailer light pigtail so I’ll try that. I did pull every fuse in both fuse boxes
