Since our engine and trans is out, we will be replacing the TOB, Clutch, PP and Clutch master. The TOB did not chirp before we took it apart at 130k miles. The sleeve on the trans looks OK.

    Many questions:
    1. Does it matter Aisin or Luk for the clutch kit?
    2. We saw in the manual to lube the pivot points on the fork and TOB with multipurpose grease, but what should be put on the sleeve where the TOB rides? Also, should anything be put on the shaft splines where the clutch disc rides?
    3. TSB-0365-10 says to replace: the slave with 31470-35181 and the fork pivot with 31236-35050. This slave I think has a heaver spring and longer rod?
    4. We just bought a new Aisin slave from rock auto (CRT121 3147035180/81), how do I know if the new slave is upgraded with the new spring and rod? can anyone confirm the new rod length?

    Truck is a 2008 4x4 4.0L

    Thanks!

Here is the spring from our new Aisin slave cylinder from rockauto (top) along with a picture that we found that someone posted that compares the upgraded spring to the old spring. We are thinking that the rockauto slave has the upgraded spring:
