What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Depends on who you ask... lol. Some say it's pointless.

Basically when you lift the truck two or more inches you MIGHT get a particular type of vibration that this mod can fix. Some say you may never get the vibration, and therefore you shouldn't do this mod until after lifting. Some say you might as well just preemptively do this mod at the same time as the lift since you're doing half the work to get to it anyway. Then there are a handful of folks around here I've seen say it's all snake oil / placebo and there's no point in doing it all. So there's that.

I intended to do it at the same time as my lift, but I'm still waiting on my lift kit ordered a couple months ago. I had some time off work this week and decided to tackle this.

Pretty common nowadays. When I took my 2020 in for its 16k service - same thing. Nothing new - and literally *EVERY* salesperson asked if I wanted to *SELL* my Tacoma for 10k over price I bought it.

How long did it take you once you unpacked it?

Is that legit? Damn, I wont complain about the $3.35 a gallon fill up I did today then.

 

Maybe just knock out a front diff oil change after a few miles just to make sure there aren't any shards floating in there?

 

Can't remember the last time I saw 3.35 a gallon. We get bent over backwards out here on the left coast.

 

I had my 2015 lifted years ago and immediately had vibes. I found a TSB to replace that bearing and it fixed it immediately so not sure why anyone would call it snake oil.

 

That’s true. But I figured that I can still fit four big plastic tubs on top. The Boxes keep all my other stuff organized along with two pelicans on top.
Then there’s the solar setup my buddy is building for me that will go on in January.
