Interior dimmable LED ambient lighting

As a Dad of 2 kids, napping in the backseat during rides is popular. I’m looking for a solution without having to use a flashlight, cellphone light or dome light to check them, and not wake them up.
Other auto manufacturers have ambient overhead lighting that is functional.
Has any of our Taco friends successfully upgraded any interior with any such lighting?
I’m looking for suggestions.

I don't know how much work you're willing to do. But these little pre-wired LED's could be placed where ever you'd like on a separate switch with a dimmer if needed. They aren't really bright and give a nice glow over a wide area since they don't have a focused lens. I would suggest the 3000K light color since it isn't as harsh on the eyes like whiter lights are, like 5000k+. Plus they are super cheap!!
