Do note that you need to run premium gas though.

Wow, who would have thunk it eh?

Are you running a boost gauge? Is a boost gauge even necessary?

Yup, I've been running the OV premium tune for awhile now.

I've been on the fence about the SC BIG TIME. One day I think I'm gonna do it and the next day I think not.

I'm not running a boost gauge, although I did take out the brass plug and fit it with a barb and short piece of vacuum line (and a cap) that I then routed to an easy to get to spot in the event that I add one further down the road. Trying to do all that after it's installed would have been a nightmare seeing how Magnusson thought fit to make that damn plug damn near impossible to get out without an Easy-Out Kit.

I think @Formidable ordered from URD. This was a few weeks ago.

I saw the other day that Cali-Raised has a product listing for the Maggy SC for Tundra, perhaps they carry the Tacoma kit too. :notsure:

URD's website lets you add to cart, and usually, if something is out or back-ordered it won't let you do that...

I bought it from him back in May sometime I think, had it in less than a week.

Edit: The month was wrong, oops.

It seems that the prices are going up. I paid $6565 back then. Black Friday might be your best bet, If I was this close to it when I bought mine I would have held out for a chance. lol

Don't hold your breathe on black friday deal.

I have a 2 inch lift with 285 75 16 tires with full Prinsu rack and leer topper on a 20 Pro automatic. Out of boost driving normal = 13-14 MPG. If I'm not paying attention and randomly hit 1-3 psi of boost I'm at 11-12 mpg. I drove 9 hours from GA back to FL and average a little over 11 mpg at 80ish mph the whole way.

    Bone stock = 17-18mpg.

Added Prinsu rack and 265 75 16 and went to 15-16 mpg. Did Ovtune and kdmaxx and went back to a solid 16ish mpg. This is under normal driving.

    Added 285 75 16 and went down to 14-15.

Added supercharger. Please refer to details above.

Really, improved fuel economy should be a pleasant surprise if it happens, not an expectation. Or even unchanged fuel economy for that matter.

    Especially where city driving happens.

On my twin turbos I saw excellent highway fuel economy, which balanced out my city fuel economy nicely. By itself, city fuel economy was atrocious. :notsure:

Pay to play and all that.

Edit: driving habits also play a role here too of course

Running Maggy Tune on my 04B04 (2016 AT) - average combined mileage is 20 - 22 mpg. Towing my 3k camper it averages 15 - 18 mpg. All depends on how heavy the foot is. Highway not towing and staying at posted speed (65) I get 23 mpg - bump that to 75 and it is 18 mpg.

My mpg is the same whether I have a heavy foot or not. 15mpg is the best I can get according to what the screen says. I feel it isn’t very accurate. Truck is pretty thirsty and hopefully a better tune will fix that.

Little update on software progression for those who have been following the Yotawerx S/C software.

TLDR version - It is really close and really good.

    Long version
I started working with @mZiggy in early October to provide a better software for us Magnuson owners. So far we have been through 30 different software versions and I’ve uploaded 50 data log sessions for him to review. A couple weeks ago we came to a huge milestone where we probably could have released the software but it likely would have met some criticism. It was good, really good actually but it needed a little polishing. Through some really good testing with @Formidable and a bunch of revisions in the same day they were able to make a couple huge improvements that really paved the way forward to where we are today. After making a couple pulls today on our newest file first at 50% throttle to redline and then full throttle to redline. I got some serious goose bumps and I was all wound up. I dodged a speeding ticket that would have sucked really bad. Fate was in my favor as it seems. Since the earlier datalogs and pulls felt good I decided to leave the laptop closed for the ride home and for the first time in a long time I didn’t have a laptop screen glowing at me begging for attention. Tonight’s drive without being paranoid was pretty awesome. The truck accelerates in ways it never has before. The new cold start map feels like it has more power than the regular Magnuson tune (not kidding) but for everyone’s safety we may dial the low temp stuff back a bit. I haven’t been this excited about driving the truck since the day I put the blower on. I didn’t intend to write a rah-rah post of this extent but I’m pretty stoked and I think you all will be too. I’ve had the biggest shit eating grin on my face since I got home.
