I think its a dumb comparison from the standpoint that a Trd offroad vs the pro4x is a real comparison. But these guys wanted to compare the "highest" model of each truck you could get.
I have more than a few problems w thia video, manual vs automatic, driver, who goes first, tires, etc.

    But its somewhat entertaining.

When the old man took the frontier through the left hook, he stayed in the deep ruts, where Stephen stayed out of those same ruts in the tacoma

I get that they take what they can get as far as trd pro manual vs pro 4x auto.

From a ton of the angles, Titan looks like so much like a Tacoma knock off. One they tested is around 38k MRSP from the site so makes sense to go against a TRD Off Road rather than a TRD Pro from price standpoint.

All I saw was two Big Boys who never Passed up a second or third donut. They sure filled up the cabs of both trucks.
ALL and all I will stick with my Tacoma 2016 OFF ROAD59564589_2142701682462261_3801304669825794048_n.jpg

I like the TFL reviews better. TFL truck and TFL Offroad. The one truck king guy used to be on TFL Offroad channel but his voice and style I can’t stand.

    OP, thanks for sharing.

I am with you -- it is easy to nitpick every last detail of videos like this but this was still worth a watch and as you point out "somewhat entertaining." I enjoyed it. I think these guys were earnest in their assessment as well.

Everyone who has a Tacoma will feel good about this video as you can clearly see the Tacoma is the superior truck. But, and maybe it is just me, I am rooting for Nissan. Looks like they built a pretty capable truck. If they can get about 80% to 90% of the capabilities of the Tacoma at a $5K to, say, $8K, price savings they will find a nice market and have some sales success.

I liked these guys ... two Ontario boys tearing it up ....

I've grown tired of these kind videos. They always act like the tires on Tacoma on glued to the truck and can't be changed.
At the end of the day the mid size truck segment is glorious and they are ALL worth while vehicle purchases for anyone. They also always review the top level trims which hardly applies to the masses when they are looking for truck purchases.

Gee......from the "obstacles" I saw on the video.....

I believe my daughter's '02 Chevy TrailBlazer 2WD could compare evenly........

Its definitely a truck id have considered coming from my Xterra, owned it from 2006 till this past spring. It was in bad need of a face lift. I love the look and engine. My xterras engine was awesome.

But! The aftermarket for Tacoma cant be beat, and it really reminded me of driving my Xterra, so i didnt even look elsewhere.

A hometown buddy had a 2010s Frontier and I remember the engine having some get-up-and-go. Something the Taco lacks :(
