Hey Turkhunt! I have a 91 pickup almost exactly like yours, and wanted to do a similar build.

I see your wheels and tires are 16” and 33”, but what are the widths?

Did you have to re-gear the stock differentials or swap them out in order to maintain the power and mpg’s with the bigger tires?

What size of a lift do you have? Is it a body lift or suspension lift?

Thank you in advance for any feedback, and sorry if you already covered this in your post somewhere.

    Hey Levi,
    Those tires are LT285/75R16
I didn't need to do any re-gearing or differential swap, just had to put in a 3" suspension lift, crank up the torsion bars, added a helper springs so the truck sat a little higher at the back for looks and cut the valance under the front bumper for clearance as you can see in the picture. Everything I did, didn't seem to change much in the way of gas mileage or speed limit or any loss of power, nothing that was noticed. Drives very happily with the 3.0 V6, loads of torque.Wheels.jpg 91 Toyota 1.jpg 91 Toyota 2.jpg

    Dean,
I appreciate the feedback! That’s all good to hear, I was hoping not to do a bunch of work with the differential, and wanted to make sure that it still drove nicely with the bigger setup.
I noticed you added some fender flares as well, those look good.
Also, did you do anything with the headers or exhaust system? I’ve heard good things about the LC engineering headers and Borla or Downey exhaust for these trucks, but have no idea at the moment what route I’m wanting to take.

    Hi Levi,
I didn't do anything to my headers or exhaust system I tried to keep everything OEM as mush as possible. It keeps the value up, even the fenders don't have fender flares, it has a 2-1/4" wide rhino liner sprayed all along the whole bottom edge of the fenders, rocker panels, doors and box to keep stone chips from happening. as you can see in this picture.
