school me on a good entry Telescope. I'm in Hawaii, ocean front with a good Lani over looking the ocean and sky. We have some awesome clear skies with no white wash from city lighting.

    Sounds amazing! No light pollution!

    Start here:
    https://skyandtelescope.org/astrono...omy-equipment/telescopes/types-of-telescopes/

Telescopes can be crazy expensive on the high end but quality scopes are available at moderate costs, then three’s the accessories.

Is astrophotography a consideration? All sorts of cameras are available but an equatorial mount is essential.

Before you buy, you mught want to dig a bit deeper. The different types of scopes, what type of observind you want to do, and the field in general.

Do you subscribe ro Sky and Telescope or similar.

If you just want a scope without further digging, go here:
    https://www.meade.com/ or
    https://www.celestron.com/

    Binoculars should be a consideration.

    Good Luck,

There is much more than just the optics. The mount and tripod must be rock steady.
Any vibration on the scope swings your view making it unseeable.
I would consider the Canon stabilized binoculars.
If you go with a scope, check out a Dobson type by a well known maker.
Two inch eye pieces are nice also.
