I had a minor parking lot accident with my '16 Sport while backing up and just got an estimate of $1k to replace the corner of my rear bumper. The cover was cracked and the support shattered. The step pad and center support are fine. I bought my truck used and the left side cover was pre-scratched for me, so I asked them to add in replacing/painting that cover so I didn't have one brand new looking side and one scratched side. While I get the cost of repair parts, labor in general and painting, I'm not paying $1k to have another bumper that would shatter in a 2 mph parking lot accident (even though I'm far more careful now, obviously). I had ASSumed this repair would top out at $600. Silly me.

I don't do much offroading, so I don't need one that has a bunch of tow hooks, etc. Are there any aftermarket rear bumpers that look good and won't break the bank? Preferably metal. My Taco doesn't have the sensors on the bumper.

Or does anyone in the NY area have an MGMG rear bumper they would sell? I'm often up in New England, down in NJ and could pick it up. We travel a ton for hockey.

    Thanks for any help.

ATH Fab (At the Helm Fabrication) makes a standard rear bumper that's very nice, is lighter than almost all of the other aftermarket offerings, and gives you a little extra clearance.

Just got one for myself, I didn't need a high clearance nor did I want one due to weight, but I wanted a bumper that could take a low speed impact without disintegrating, and potentially drag off road without shattering.

He quotes a high lead time, I got mine much faster than that. Shipping was about $200, and another $200 to powdercoat it. All in, $1200. Much better than replacing an OEM bumper with more junk OEM parts.
