Isn't it weird how she got a black eye by backing into a tree?

Does it not have a back up camera?

Just curious. No fault finding. Backups are probably the most common self inflicted damage for all vehicle types.

It was pouring down rain, she shouldn't have been backing in when she couldn't see. I'm not happy at all. She wasn't even close to being straight.
Tree leans towards the truck with a bump coming out. Hit it right on that spot. She told me we needed larger bumpers. I hear that as permission to get new armor.

    Hmmmm.......

Seems like an error of NOT TURNING AROUND TO LOOK.

Too many people believe the backup camera is all seeing. It only looks straight back......no matter what the little turn lines indicate.

Sorry for your damage. Hide your keys.

    It's complicated.
Every time my gf bugs me to drive my truck, I remind her about the dents in her car...

All I can say is DON'T.

Its your truck. Is she on your insurance? If not, would she be able to pay for any damage, tickets.....impounds........ Most importantly, would she pay.

A continental breakfast won't repair the truck or resolve citations.

Several years ago my wife and I were helping my son move into a new rental home. It was at the end of a narrow dead end street and one of his neighbors parked several cars on the road. It was really a tight squeeze getting in and out. I was pulling a trailer with my F150, my wife driving the Tacoma.

While I was getting another load my wife decided she needed to make a run to Walmart for something. While backing out she ran over a mailbox. She darn near centered it with the back bumper, broke the 4X4 post, continued backing up and ran her errand. She never realized she had done it.

When I got back with the next load I saw the mailbox down. She didn't think she had done anything until I found a tiny dent in the rear bumper. So, off to Home Depot for another mailbox, post and concrete. I had the guy set up with a much nicer mailbox including lettering before he got home.

Then, the next day I caught the box with the side mirror of my Ford backing the trailer in with another load. So, I'm off to get a 2nd mailbox. Fortunately this time the post was fine. Neither truck had any real damage.

I just chipped/cracked the passenger side lens on my 2017:anonymous:
See I have this rubber wheel chok...except I moved it when I had my truck out and replacing a wheel bearing in my son's vehicle. Got the job done and went to back my truck in...noticed just a millisecond before the little crunch that I was farther back than I should be. On a 1-10 scale it was a 11 pucker factor. I coughed up near $250.00 for that factory lens.
Put it on display in the dining room hutch for awhile but the wife didn't approve

Yes that to. Just not paying attention more than anything. PS: It's her truck.

I have tail lights that are exactly like those and love them. Total plug and play on my 2008 Sport. I've had them for a few years now and the only issue I've had is the turn signal lamp was literally falling out of the scoket into the light assembly. So that got fixed by inserting a small plastic wedge into the scoket when I pushed the lamp back in. No issues since.

Good on you for making it right -- twice.
