I like the idea, but the likelihood of me finding a new condition wheel seems pretty slim. I don't have a problem with adding an aftermarket wheel. Many of them look pretty nice if someone has the process streamlined.

Do you have a picture of your wheel, I know different models have different button layouts/amounts.

Is that the same button layout? that's what really matters.

He will need to do a repin/ swap ground/ add wiring from connector at the steering column to his stereo in order to get full 100% functionality from his steering wheel. That layout was how mine was. AU3 circuit is not present in the 2012's so it needs to be added in. Not that it matters if using an aftermarket steering wheel control module/ stereo because the modules do not support AU3 circuit (Back, left, and right buttons).

I agree, but if you get a steering wheel with less buttons you may not need the SW3 wire. This would only require repinning to get it to work.

OP, are you using the stock radio?

I am running the stock radio, and I would like to keep full-wheel control button use.

Do you still have the 2014 corolla wiring diagram? I can't seem to find the one I used when I originally figured everything out.

I checked the night of my initial post and I still kept the 15+ pages I highlighted and worked to make more convenient to read and to answer your question, if you have an aftermarket display (which I know you do) you cannot do anything with the display button, as it is a limitation integrated into the steering wheel control module itself. Now I understand your unit is mostly plug and play, which MAY expand your possibilities for utilizing the display button, but for others using an aftermarket stereo and steering wheel control module, to my current knowledge, there is no capability to utilize the DISP button. Matter of fact even the Corollas and Camrys of those years which use them lose that functionality as well to my knowledge.

My android radio has 2 extra key inputs for steering wheel controls. I was thinking I could run a wire from the DISP wiring to one of the extra Key inputs. I just don't know what kind of signal it sends (resistive, gound) Im sure I can do something with it, I just need to track down the wiring for it.

Do you want the photo of the diagram for the 2014 Corolla or the 2015 Tacoma?

I'll get back to you on those. I have them in the garage and that would require I dig them out. I should have them to you by tomorrow.

Disp button wiring. Looks like it's just a gound signal.
