2020 Tacoma OEM LED Headlight Megathread

Driver side. Let me know if you need a different angle or the passenger side also. Neither side drl turn on when I turn the knob to drl on the steering wheel with the car in park

 

That’s one of my harnesses. It clicked in all the way? Wires look correct on the conversion harness side. Do the color match on both sides?

the fuses are in the main fuse box so worth a peek there. I’m not sure I know exactly what position but the cover might have it.

 

Oh but you did turn ignition on and drop parking brake, yes? That’s required for the ECU to fire up the DRL.

The ECU does not fire up the DRL signal until the parking brake is disabled. From there, it stays on if the brake is re-engaged.

Curious to see if anyone has the part number for the LED non-Pro headlights on the 2022s yet? It appears as though the interior trim already comes in black, and not chrome (like previous non-Pro LED headlights), which is nice. Gray truck is a 2020 TRD Pro, white truck is a 2022 with the LED upgrade.

 

That still looks like chrome trim on the white truck to me.

 

The white truck still has the chrome trim around the DRL though?

 

Anyone in here with a passenger side non-pro (81110-04300) headlight that may have came in damaged that they are looking to sell?

 

The non pro LED's PN's will be the same as they have been for the 2020 / 2021 models

The TRD PRO LED's from 2020-2021 will still work on the TRD OR 2022's right?
Still same part numbers?

Hard to sort through all the comments, so i apologize if this has been asked a hundred times already.

My TRD OR arrives in a week, but it doesnt have LED's. It was one the dealer had coming that fit my build, minus the lights.
I also want to upgrade the fog lamps to LED - is it best to stay OEM LED or go aftermarket?

 

I haven't seen any indication that they wouldn't fit. As for fogs, If you are going to upgrade you might as well buy pods. I installed some Diode Dynamics SS3 Sports in yellow that go for around $200 ($186 on Amazon right now) with everything you need to install. They also have pro and max brightness levels in yellow or white for considerably more money.

I've seen nothing but good things about Dave's harnesses w/ the integrated grill light provision, so i will be going that route.
Going to be ordering a full interior LED set as well as TRD PRO tail lights. Not sure what Toyota was thinking going with chrome bezels as well as full incandescent for interior bulbs.

I rented a 2021 TRD OR to help me make my decision and honestly the lighting from bumper to bumper is just a massive disappointment. You'd think the Premium ANYTHING package would fix that for us.. but i digress.

So, I found the exact same deal at Larry H. Miller Toyota in Lemon Grove, CA. Same price, no tax, free shipping (using code FREESHIP), $1253.04 to my door in AZ. Offer is supposed to be good until 11/29. My card only offers 1.5% back, but that's still almost another $20.

Going to sleep on this decision tonight and give it some thought.

I was looking at the Morimoto XB gen 2 but these are less than 100 more… not counting the harness… really really tempting.

 

From someone who bought these I can say they are such great quality headlights. Hard to go wrong with OEM!
