Fantastic video example! The visibility improvements for drivers and safety improvements for other motorists on the roadway that this technology brings is incredible. It cannot get here soon enough under the newly passed legislation. And for those that don't want it, the technology is now allowed as an option, it is not a requirement.

The last I heard from the other guy was that he had to hack up the harness to get it working.

@crashnburn80 , could you please help nail down the pins on the assembly?

@Spike Spiegel i think we know the signal wires from the harness side but maybe you can confirm those independently from your rig?

Apparently some folks had to reverse polarity?

So, ok, the assemblies you have @Spike Spiegel, they aren't LED for high beams too, just the low beams? B/c the massive headache was with the full LED assembly for both high and low and I couldn't get a straight answer for the pinouts. I'll add a photo of what I sent the dude, he said he had to hack it to get it going and per the video you posted it looks like power and ground on the low beam are reverse polarity, but then he goes on to say "maybe you have to swap it" so like, wtf right?

The male in mine definitely looks 100% reversed but then the 4 position does too based on what I see in that video.

I could send you the whole shebang de-pinned and let you own that part? Do you for sure not need any HB3/9005 male connector feeding in, it's really just the low beams?

For now based on what the dude told me (which seems totally wrong based on that video) I have

2 position male connector, terminal 1 is power, 2 is ground (video makes it look very much like that should be swapped)
4 position female connector, terminal 1 is high beam power, terminal 2 is ground, terminal 4 is low beam power (video makes it look like 2 should be low beam + and 4 should be low beam -)

TLDR: If you want the female and male connectors with 2 plugs and 2 jumpers x 2 sides, and you own the pinout, that I can do. Or I can just send you what I have pre-built which looks 100% wrong but I'm thinking you'd prefer no 9005.

So the de-pin and re-pin in the video is a cool idea. As the terminals are the same.

A conversion harness is also very possible just extra bulk and lack of clarity on the terminal positions for the 4 pin

Polarity was reversed as mentioned in the video. Thanks again @Too Stroked !!!

We'll see how these fare in the snow this weekend after applying two coats of CarPro UK 3.0 ceramic coating on them.

Those units have awesome performance but snow will be a challenge. Really depends on the type of snow though, as dry stuff doesn’t stick much.

Driving back from Costco it was immediately apparent these are miles better as @crashnburn80 has demonstrated.

The headlights are a tad brighter than this picture is showing. The SS3 MAX fogs no longer make my low beam disappear. I am legitimately shocked. (Even when I ran HID's they would get blown out)

Quick question, do I measure the height of the foglight beam from the center of light emitted or the sides? They seem to be the highest point as the fogs tend to bow up a little bit.
    IMG_7468.jpg

Noticed the little black spot grew into this little guy after pulling up closer to the garage door. Wonder what it's from

    IMG_7470.jpg
    IMG_7471.jpg

Alright that's enough 4Runner intrusion for now until I get a hold of some SS5's and mount them somewhere.

I think I've noticed that too. Wonder if it's pattern or mounting.

The guys on the swap thread have all noticed that too. Some kind of artifact in the pattern, don't know if it was intentional by the vendor or not.
