Still lingering in the 50s and 60s here lately. We don't get below 50 until late December through March. Anyway, you talked me into 5 cans, I'll try out a can when I see the Fluid Film fading off near the wheels and see how the Woolwax holds up. I'm set on the wax now for the next year. Still have half a gallon can of FF for the easy to get to parts.

From what I've been reading Fluid Film and Woolwax are the same company?

There has been a lot of confusion about the companies for quite awhile. But no, Woolwax® and FF are separate ownership. Kellsport Products the brand owner of Woolwax® represented FF both as a distributor and a sales agent for almost 20 years. Kellsport brought FF into the automotive market. Previously they were just in the marine and outdoor power equipment business. FF was 1st used as an automotive undercoating by an auto repair shop in Hancock, Maine. From there it took off. A few years later we introduced it to the NAPA stores. As years went on several competitive products came on the market that were outperforming FF. We were constantly getting complaints from our Undercoater network. The elderly owners of FF had passed away and the company was being run by a non-owner manager. The management at FF were stubborn and resistant to change. FF is low viscosity and needed to be thicker to be more resistant to wash-off. The strong wool-grease smell had to be minimized. And we needed it in Black. The FF management would not hear any of it. They were going to stick with their 70 year old formula that is low viscosity and washes off easily, has a very strong odor, and straw color only.
So we saw the writing on the wall. If we were going to survive we had to give the marketplace a better product. And Woolwax® was born sometime around 2012-2013. Higher viscosity and more resistant to wash-off. Almost no smell. and available in both Straw and Black.
And now you have the rest of the story.

If you're handy Power wash frame - spray with boiled linseed oil - cheap - less then $10 per treatment - drys - slight smell til it drys - no smell after - smell isn't bad at all. A lot less $$$ then Fluid Film, Wool, New Hampshire etc.

    Wool wax hard on.
No nasty mess and last 5-10 years vs 1-2
Kind of hard to see in my photo.
