The local Nissan dealer has 2 new Frontiers so I decided to see them in person. They don't look too bad... sort of like a Tacoma clone in many ways. They were nicely spec'ed SV trim double cab models with tech package. I am not in the market, just wanted to see them... and besides these have short bed, which is a non-starter for me. But the thing that caught my eye was the huge gap between the hood and fenders. Not sure what they are going for with this look. It looks odd to my eyes, to say the least. Both the black one and white one were the same.

It's a good looking truck, IMO.

The bad thing for me personally is, living in the metro ATL area, if I was interested in one, all of the Nissan dealers around here are straight up scumbags. They all are "Car salesman 101" bullshit artist. It's horrible.

Or that other not-quite-a-truck Honda Ridgeline.

    That’s why I won’t consider a Titan.

I read something yesterday that said the Titan is on the chopping block, it has pretty abysmal sales figures anyway.

I'm glad they're making it. I'd take it over a Colorado or Ranger any day. That said- I'm not the biggest fan of Nissan's interior quality. Solid truck, I just trust the Tacoma more. Nissan is like the Japanese Chrysler in my eyes.

It is being phased out, they did away with the commercial vans already. It's a shame they never caught on, the VK56 is one of the finest production V8 engines.

A little of this and a little of that.
I agree with you about the gap between the hood and fender/headlight. It looked like the hood release had been pulled when I first saw it.

Other than that, it’s not a bad looking truck, IMO.

I agree I think it’s a really nice looking truck, for some reason I’m not a big fan of the interior though.

I think one reason the big van didn’t catch on in sales because it was under optioned and over priced.

Been seeing TV commercials the last few days where Nissan is rolling out a program by which you can supposedly buy your vehicle entirely online and take delivery from your local dealer. They aren't providing a lot of details... it's just a typical commercial with a few sound bites. I wonder if some scumbag dealers will find a way to hose this up.
